| Abstract: | A new report issued recently by UNICE looks at European competitiveness, setting out ways in which to rectify Europe's relatively poor international performance. It concentrates proposals for action on the competition of the single market, reducing public expenditure and streamlining the public sector, removing the financial burdens on companies such as high labour costs and strict employment protection legislation, and providing more incentives to help young people into work. |
