| Abstract: | Call center industry is growing fast in Europe. Although call centres provide employment, trade unions are concerned of the development. This 1st part of a 2-part feature examines the context and looks at the issues surrounding call centers in 6 European countries, i.e. Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, and Germany. There is also information in brief on incidence and growth of call centres in 9 European countries 1998-2003. These countries are Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom (U.K). |
