| Abstract: | Companies face pressure for performance and accountability. In order to meet these reguirements, companies have to create systems to assess board performance and the impact of their business on the society as a whole. They also have to disclose relevant information to their interest groups. Other issues affecting corporate governance now and in the future are increasing shareholder activism, company laws, convergence of governance structures and standards, impact on institutional investors as well as director development. |
