Abstract: | The manifold electronic information and communication technologies as well as the falling prices of hardware and the easily accessible softwares all encourage the employment of computerized merchandise processing systems in trade. These systems enable an optimal flow of information and merchandise, and as such they step up productivity. On the other hand, they are the information basis for improving retail marketing and thus enable an information trading up. |
