Abstract:Considers as a major contemporary social problem, white- collar crime "has arrived". The term, and related expressions such as "crime in the suites", are very widely used in everyday conversation, in mass media and in technical professional literatures. Members of the American public have become accustomed to news stories about insider trading, illegal campaign contributions, unsafe products and workplaces, fraud and embezzlement, price fixing, and political corruption.
