Abstract:Today only 3% of businesses offering a workplace nursery and barely 2% providing any sort of care voucher or cash allowance, senior managers and partners across the UK are clearly failing to identify childcare as a key issue. Employers will have to change this attitude if they are to avoid a multitude of problems in the future. The author states that businesses that do not provide childcare benefits must understand that the money is simply spent elsewhere and staff retention and productivity are all directly affected by childcare issues. The paper is divided into three following sections: 1) You've got to be kidding; 2) Taxing problem; 3) Mother love.
