Abstract: | The problems of Korean five-star hotels are summarized as follows: room supply is greater than room demand, labour costs have escalated, and land and construction costs are high. In order to increase service quality and customer satisfaction, the Sheraton Walker Hill, the oldest and first international franchise five-star hotel in Korea, started to reeingineer telephone operations, reservations, and sales and marketing activities into what is known as a multi-task operations strategy implemented in September 2000. |
