| Abstract: | The strategies adopted by selected companies in the posttransformation in Russia are examined in this study. The aim was to determine: 1) if there were substantial commonalities among the strategies employed and 2) if so, was it likely that a theory of the firm could be found which persuasively explained and predicted success under the unusual characteristics of the present Russian economy. The question was pursued through an analysis of the strategies followed by "successful" companies. |
