Abstract:This paper claims that the value of process theory is under-utilized due to most attempts in applying process theory ending up reverting to conventional non-process methods. The cause of this reversion is suggested to be primarily the challenge of making sense, of fixing the world, lifting us from process into the world of substance. Proposed is an approach taking the researchers' audience alongside the subject processes rather than attempting to clinically intersect them. The paper is illuminated with its own story vignettes concerning the fortunes of an idea passing by the name of value based management (VBM).
