Abstract:The article explores the potential causes of job satisfaction among information center workers and the potential results of job satisfaction. Role ambiguity appeared as the most severe cause of job dissatisfaction although the employees with longer organizational tenure displayed less dissatisfaction than more recent hires. The results show that job satisfaction plays an important part in predicting organizational commitment and an employee's intention to leave the organization. Job satisfaction among IC employees is the product of complex linkages among personal/demographic characteristics and role stressors.
