Abstract:China is a nation with a huge population and a large supply of labours. The contradiction between supply and demand of jobs will be a long-standing objective fact. The key to relieve our pressure on employment is to readjust the social economic relations. "Reemployment" should never be comprehended as the continuation of the "iron bowl". Its inherent meaning is to completely sever the relationship between workers and the "big-pot" system through various reforming attempts, improve workers' competitiveness of being employed, stimulate the flow of labours and the optimization and recombination of factors. It is a transformation which starts from the adjustment of combining patterns between staff and material, workers and means of production, and moves in the direction of socialist market economy.
