Abstract:This article discusses two types of unit pricing: measure-based (cents or dollars per unit of measure) and usage-based (cents or dollars per use). Findings show that in many product categories, measure-based unit pricing does not always provide the right information for consumers to make a correct evaluation of brands' true value.
