The model is expanded by investigating the relationship in connection with the size of the company. A study of 90 expatriates from both SMEs and large firms was conducted to examine this issue. The findings indicate that expatriates who got more socio-emotional support from coworkers also received more instrumental support. Furthermore, the size of the company affected the relationship between the network partners and and instrumental and socio-emotional support.
