| Abstract: | A forecast of the economic growth expected from Federal Germany and Japan, linked with their business investment and consumer spending. Lower profit margins are expected to maintain their market share and how Federal Germany may move to a tighter money policy. No increase is anticipated in public work spending, but Japan will raise its discount rate. Japanese domestic demand is expected to help U.S. exports. Two graphs give GNP growth and consumer prices in Japan and in Federal Germany. |
