Abstract:This article deals with the constitution of organizational (herein as: org-al.) identity (hereafter as: org-id.) in higher education. Based on a survey at a large university college in Norway, the relationship (as: r-ship.) btw. org-id. and org-al. identification is examined. There were formulated six hypotheses. Using a LISREL analysis, it is found that the higher education employees have multiple ord-ids, the composition of which can have an affect on both the identification with the department of their own and the college. These results imply that management of org-id. may effect significantly on the r-ship. btw. the employees and their organization (original in Norwegian).
