Abstract:This article attempts to find out more about how a case-based pedagogy affects students' ability to make ethical decisions within a corporate context. It examines the impact of using cases to teach ethics in a finance course, and tries to determine whether recent corporate ethics scandals might have influenced students' perceptions of the importance of ethics in business. The results are somewhat surprising since studying ethical scandals positively influences students' ethical decision making and their perceptions of the ethics of businesspeople.
