Understanding these plans is important for all those developing business in China because they provide a clear indication of the overall direction of the government in managing the economy, the resulting business environment and the sectoral opportunities that should emerge. The recent annual meeting of the National People's Congress was significant since approval was secured for the government's economic policies for 1996. |
