Abstract: | Financial turmoil had seemed a distant problem for euroland. But now Russia's crisis has got the ECB concerned. Worries about the continued turmoil in Asian markets have spread to the U.S. and particularly Latin America. So far Europe has seemed to be relatively immune, with the central authorities of the European Union and the single currency area suggesting that the impact on growth would be marginal. Now, though, perceptions are beginning to change. |
