| Abstract: | The simple choice of in-house design versus external consultancy is being challenged by the latest in creative environments - a subtle hybrid of the two. Companies fear loss of control when outsourcing design work. They think creative suppliers will be hard to manage. Samsung's approach gives it some control but physical distance from the corporate centre ensures a degree of freshness. Companies are increasingly using their creativity to invent novel solutions to their particular design management problems. |
