| Abstract: | At the end of this century and the beginning of the next century, China will establish one big modernized iron and steel base in the south and one in the north. Before and after 2010, in auto industry, 3 or 4 large enterprise groups with annual output of over 1 million units and a certain competitiveness on the world market will be formed. During the Ninth Five-Year Plan period, the key products in China's machine-building industry are numerical controlled machine tools and systems, important mechanical basic parts, power facilities, agricultural machinery, sets of major equipment's. To meet the need of the adjustment of industrial structure, efforts will be concentrated on the development of 1000 state-owned enterprise groups to make them the pillar of national economy. |
