| Abstract: | Since the pursuing of the "open door" policy, China has gradually opened its insurance market. But under the circumstance of intensive market competition, the opening of the insurance market should be maintained on one hand, and on the other hand the development of National Insurance should be protected. According to the principles of General Agreement on Service and Trade in Uruguay Round concerning the market access, national treatment and gradual liberalization and the development level of our insurance, this article proposes countermeasures that we should first control a proper degree of the opening of the insurance market, second strengthen the supervision and management of insurance market and at last heighten our capabilities to increase the national insurance competitive power. |
