Abstract:After the launching of pilot project of joint venture travel agency, it is inevitable that foreign travel agency will shave a part of interests in China's tourist market and put some competitive pressure on the domestic travel agencies. But after the competition there comes regulation. A number of small travel agencies and nonstandard travel agencies will be sifted out in the competition. Tourists will get the most benefit in such kind of survival of the fittest competition. After the opening up of tourist market, the relations between domestic and foreign travel agencies have been developed from pure business agent to a more closely connected partnership. China can use the oversea trade channels of those foreign travel agencies to expand market of travelers coming to China.
