| Abstract: | This article examines whether foreign direct investment and foreign subsidiaries (hereafter as: FSs) are the channel of spilling over technological know-how across boarders. For this to be true, FSs have to source know-how internationally and transfer it to the local economy. The results show that while FSs easier acquire technology internationally, they are still not more likely to transfer technology to the local economy than the local firms. |
