Abstract:International High-Tech Forum Basel performed in 1988 a survey in Swiss and Austrian small and medium-sized firms about information and marketing management and corporate culture. The article presents the results of this survey. Information requirement is the stronger the larger and the more high-tech the firms. 40 % of those surveyd have a separate marketing department. Corporate culture, ethical considerations are more important with successful than with unsuccessful firms.
