Abstract: | This paper aims to explore the ways in which age and work experience shape how individuals experience psychological contract breaches. The concepts of contract malleability (herein as: c-m.) and contract replicability (here as: c-r.) are introduced. Discussed are the variety of reasons why c-m. and c-r. become greater with age and work experience and how c-m. and c-r. may temper negative reactions to psychological contract breaches. Addressed are the different of ways c-m. and c-r. mediating the relationships btw. age and work experience, on one hand, and exit, loyalty, voice, and neglect behaviours on the other. Considered are the moderating effects of age similarity and dissimilarity here, as well. |
