Abstract:This study focuses on two issues: first on the strategic emphasis firms set on the design and delivery of their value offering and second on the extent the firm's value offering explains performance differences at the customer-centric performance level. A conceptual model of how companies gain positional advantage via their value offering and the realized results they achieve is proposed. The findings confirm the conceptualization of the firm's value offering and propose that creating superior value offerings enables companies to achieve superiority in customer-centric performance.
