| Abstract: | This article reviews the Islamic thoughts and writings about leadership, also from the historical perspective. Thoughts are mostly based on religion and highlight different emphasis than western views about leaders and leadership. The duties of the leader as well as the relationship between the leader and his followers are important questions in the eyes of Muslims. |
