Abstract:The purpose of this article is to identify the possible emergence of an HRM-derived approach which is not anti-union, and one which might indeed hold the potential for the more equitable distribution of power between management and workers. It is suggested that HRM may contain within itself the seeds of the destruction of the unitarist base from which it is derived.
