| Abstract: | To what extent companies are able to achieve competitive advantage depends decisively on the qualification, motivation and the commitment of their employees. The question is how employees can be supported in their personal and professional development? The topics and lessons of a workshop are described that has been developed and organized at the management academy of IBM Germany. First , the question to what extent managers are able to cope with their task of advising employees is analyzed. Then a checklist is presented that can help both managers and employees to prepare and realize efficient communication. |
