| Abstract: | The purpose of this article is to illustrate how a manager can personally conduct an audit of his company's long-term financial operations. This can be accomplished by comparing a particular firm's activities against some sort of standard. The standards for a value-for-many, or operational, audit are somewhat subjective in that they are often based on common sense, but they are standards nonetheless. The remaining sections of this paper discuss the standards for small business financial management and a questionnaire is illustrated which organizes these standards. |
