Abstract: | In recent years, many changes in economic, political, and social factors, worldwide have created numerous opportunities for American small business in the service industries. Using secondary research and information available in a variety of government and business organizations, the following sub-topics are examined: 1. characteristics of services; 2. importance of services to both USA and world economies; 3. factors favouring USA service organizations (advanced technology and the low exchange rate of the USA dollar in recent years); 4. specific outlook for services in various countries; 5. opportunities in the overseas market for small USA organizations; 6. advantages and disadvantages of small size. |
