Abstract: | Line managers are increasingly having to take responsibility for their staff's career development. This can involve evaluation for development in appraisal or assessment interviews, making arrangements for undertaking personality questionnaires, aptitude and intelligence testing, pin-pointing skills courses and relevant training programmes for them to attend or counselling to determine their future potential and direction. A practical approach for helping individuals is presented in this article. It focuses on the identification of individual's root temperaments and aptitude biases and gives insight into how individuals can be best motivated at work. |
