| Abstract: | Currently cellular phone services are limited to one small area in Delhi. In January 1992 the Indian government issued a tender for cellular systems in the four major cities. In October l992 the Department of Telecommunications announced the eight companies which will provide GSM cellular telephone servoces in Bombay, New Delhi, Madras and Calcutta. |
