| Abstract: | The article is an attempt at content analysis of the mythological cycle about the Raven which is the oldest and most important common folklore component of Paleo-Asiatic ethnic groups, North-Western Indians, and both Asian and American Eskimos. Although in the collective memory of Tlingits there is a distinction between mischievous and cultural variants of the myths /the latter are told in a more orderly way/ there can be no doubt that both are aspects of the same epos. |
