Abstract: | The anthropology of the Middle Ages gave preference to Christian values and criticized non-Christian vices. Through semiotics of anthropology medieval writers sought to understand the world and demystify it. Judged by modern principles the representational system of the epoch was a heritage of classical and patristic traditions. |
