| Abstract: | The aim of the analysis is to present the role of the country risk rating with reference to possibilities for foreign investors, the Euromoney structure of country risk indicators, Slovenia's position in this year's quarterly evaluation, namely in greater detail within the group of postsocialist states , and also the reasons why Slovenia has, contrary to expectations, dropped for 44 places and landed in the 105th place.Although in forming an estimate the methodology of indicators cannot say all, it is clear that Slovenia is presently in a normal regresive interval according to the data of Euromoney's specialists and Gallup's survey of Slovenians' public opinion at the end of 1993.The current position of Slovenia has in many ways also been defined by the carrying out of the Letter of Intent of the Republic of Slovenia to the World Bank, which has credited the entrepreneurial and financial sector.The conditions and possibilities for enhancement lie in a more consistent implementation of the ownership transformation and in sticking to a development model which is in favour of improving export competitiveness. |
