| Abstract: | The paper reviews the emerging trends in building-construction practices. It starts with a review of various economic , social and technological developments that affect construction practice. It proceeds with a discussion of a survey conducted in major construction companies in several countries, and concludes with the analysis of the findings. The strategic planning of resource development, the company's organization, and the exploitation of market opportunities appears to be one of the most important tasks of high-level construction management. |
