Abstract: | Design for manufacture and assembly is a structured analysis tool used to simplify design, decrease assembly costs , improve product quality and reliability, and reduce operation time required to bring a new product to market. If a company wants to develop a world class manufacturing operation, it has no choice but to view design and manufacturing as a single conceptual process. |
