Abstract: | The authors draw on their experience with leading transnational companies to answer this question. They conclude that there is no single model of a global manager. Rather, there are three very different kinds, all of which are necessary for a company to be competitive worldwide. The careers of L. Johansson of Electrolux, H. Gottlieb of NEC, and Zaki of Procter & Gamble demonstrate the point. |
