Abstract: | In ergonomic practice, 3 primary stressors are recognized as areas for focused improvement: force, posture and recovery time. Many options for ergonomic controls are available. After reviewing the control options the question remains: are these solutions guaranteed to prevent the injuries and illnesses associated with ergonomics? The answer is an emphatic 'no' because some ergonomic problems are multifactorial. In light of this reality , how can a company get comfortable with ergonomics? |
