| Abstract: | The most serious drawback of China's present monetary policy lies in the defect in its structural function. The present monetary policy does not give consideration to the regional features and differences. The ultimate objective of China's monetary policy is to keep money stabilized and thus promote economic growth. The regional monetary policies include credit policy, interest rate policy, reserve policy and foreign exchange policy. The regional foreign exchange policy should consider favoring both the stability of interest rates and increase of local foreign exchange income and the inflow of foreign capital. |
