| Abstract: | Outsourcing training is more than hiring an external instructor to teach a course that used to be taught by a company employee. Outsourcing is turning over the heart and soul of the training function: registration, scheduling, marketing, logistics, facilities management, instructor selection, course selection and development, and course evaluation. This article tells the story of how Corning outsourced its training function and formed a partnership with the external provider. |
