Abstract: | One area of work that serves to integrate a number of best practices is the area of supply chain management. In this article the author explores a number of elements that make up the design of a modern supply chain and how they can be used. For this purpose the following definition of supply chain management is taken from the book written by M. Christopher: the process of strategically managing the movement and storage of materials, parts and finished inventory from suppliers, through the firm and on to customers. |
