| Abstract: | As to the contradictory phnomena that RMB devalues internally and appreciates externally in recent time, there is such a view point in domestic academic circles: In 1994 when the merger of RMB exchange rates was realized, the fixed value of RMB exchange rates was too low. So there is room for the appreciation of RMB. The author considers that the factors for the appreciation of RMB are being reduced and the present cost of conversion is approaching or beyond the exchange rates of RMB. Considering the above two points, the author holds that there will be a trend that RMB will fall in the later period for they are faced with the pressure of falling. |
