| Abstract: | In 1994, a working group of MIT faculty developed two coherent scenarios for desirable organizations of the future. These scenarios were preliminary "seeds" to be used as foundation for building in-depth research. The author expands on one of MIT's scenarios for the future and describes firms where many of these characteristics are in practice today. |
