Abstract: | The Stern Stewart consultants in New York think that the best measure of financial performance is market value added, MVA. It looks what a company's stock has done to investors' pocketbook over it's life and it compares it with the capital those same investors have plunked down. If a company has a positive MVA, it means it is creating wealth. MVA seems to be a good measure of a company's performance as telling as earnings-per-share-growth or return on equity. |
