| Abstract: | One can improve corporate culture quickly and profoundly by moving a few walls. Getting rid of private offices is a great way to encourage teamwork but one has got to be sure to respect people's need for peace and quiet.Open plans came into wide use in 20th century but they were found not to be perfect. They're good for spontaneous conversations but bad for privacy, and they can be noisy. Open plans also can give people an environment with no obstacles to creativity. |
