| Abstract: | To many people in the lower echelons of organizations, top leaders do not appear altogether human, not at least in the sense that colleagues or immediate superiors are. This paper charts the dominant fantasies that subordinates have about their leaders, by focusing on a particular scene, which features regularly in such fantasies, a scene in which an ordinary member of an organization comes face to face with the organisation's leader. |
