Abstract:Foreign exchange reserve involves many as aspects of one country's politics and economy. Generally-speaking, the minimum limit of its scale is mainly to satisfy the need of external payment in the international trade while the maximum one is not to lead to unsuitability in the world. Viewed from angles of market economy and operation and establishing a country's image as well as satisfying the current situation's needs, foreign exchange reserve should be moderate and can not measured simply by its quantity. At present, we should sum up a set of operation and management methods by using for reference the advanced international management mechanism, which must be practical in China too.
