Abstract: | This research note presents the lessons learnt from the development of a prototype tourist information service developed for a tourist board using the world-wide web. The lessons discussed fall into three main categories, namely: page design; managerial issues; and information content. Finally conclusions are drawn and suggestions made for further work. With the continuing growth of the Internet and, in particular, the world-wide web, there now exists a new marketing potential for tourist regions. |
